Massage Yoga: Twice the Relaxation
with Wallis Murphy
Join us for this deeply nurturing, healing Massage Yoga practice.
In this 2 hour workshop you will have time to explore the major joints in the body and the surrounding soft tissue with continuous sequencing and longer holds. You can expect to feel strong sensations while stretching in the postures followed by a palpable sense of release when you come into rebound.
Rebound is the transitionary time between poses lying on your back.
The sensations you can experience at this time are not always physical.
The massage element will be applied during the postures and sometimes in rebound. This will both enhance your level of relaxation and encourage greater awareness of where you might be holding unnecessary tension in the body.
The experience is all encompassing with essential oils, music, yoga props, and intelligent sequencing designed to give you deeper awareness of your body and mind. All combined with intuitive touch.
This provides the perfect setting for deep release and relaxation.
Limited spaces that are sure to sell out. Be quick to secure your place.

Yoga Shed for Men
with Shawn Ashkanasy
It is not unusual for guys to feel like the odd ones out in a yoga class or to think that yoga is a 'chick thing'. We acknowledge that todays yoga culture can be challenging for men, which is why we created Yoga Shed. A workshop for men to explore yoga that is safe, supportive and non-judgmental.
You don't need to own a pair of tights or be able to touch your toes to participate. If you have given yoga a go or want to start a new practice this 4 week workshop is your you.
Each week we will breakdown different yoga forms or Asanas as well as breathing techniques. Students will be encouraged to develop their own personal exploration that is right for them and their body; building both strength and confidence in their practice.
On completion of the course, students will feel a renewed connection with self and greater confidence to participate in group classes.
When: Saturdays, 4 Nov - 25 Nov 2017, 11.00am - 12.00pm
Sun Salutation Workshop: Explore the power of this ancient sequence
Surya Namaskara, also known as the Sun Salutation consists of a series of twelve postures and is one of the most holistic exercise sequences due to its powerful connection with body, breath and mind.
- The stretching and compression of the abdominal organs helps heal the digestive system.
- It improves posture by broadening the chest, toning the arms and strengthening the abdominal muscles.
- It develops muscular strength and spinal flexibility and is one of the best methods for weight loss.
- The Pranayama components (breath control) strengthen the lungs, oxygenatesthe blood, and detoxify the body by ridding it of carbon dioxide and other toxic gases.
- For women: menstrual irregularity is improved, assists in easy childbirth and balances hormone levels by normalizing activity of the endocrine system; especially the thyroid gland.
- It improves sleep and reduces anxiety and nervous tension.
Whether you are a beginner or a long-time practicing yogi, join us in exploring the power of this ancient sequence.
