Shawn was a reluctant yogi, he first started Ashtanga yoga 2002. After a few stops starts, he reconnected with his practise. Never a strict adherent to doctrine, Shawn incorporates mindfulness and other embodied practices into his teachings. He also believes in using simple, accessible language that empowers everyone to discover their own practise, one that is right for their body, experience and personal goals.
Following his belief that yoga should be egalitarian, he recently completed 20 hours in training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with the Trauma Centre Yoga Program.
In his spare time he likes to travel, read yoga philosophy and cook.
