Poppy is originally from the UK, and prior to moving to Melbourne in 2017, spent 8 years working in retail, with over half of that time spent living on a tiny island off the East Coast of the USA.
Living on an island that is 14 miles wide and 7 deep, with a population of no more 10,000 people through the winter months, allowed Poppy some time to really slow down. It taught her to make sunrises and sunsets part of her daily routine and to appreciate every moment on a much deeper level.
It was the place where Poppy completely and utterly fell in love with yoga.
Poppy’s demanding employment drove her to begin yoga, taking her very first class in Rhode Island. She needed to take time out to just breathe. Poppy quickly made yoga part of her daily routine as it taught her to come home to herself.
Poppy completed her 200-hour vinyasa training with YogaWorks in Morocco at the start of 2017 and is excited to share this love of yoga with others on so many different levels.
