Monica Garner

As a child, Monica had a strong calling to lead a life of helping others through holistic healing. She was first introduced to yoga by her mother when she was a teenager and began practicing yoga more consistently through University and her career as a Human Resources specialist.

After much soul searching, meditation and various unfufilling corporate roles; Monica decided to let her heart take the driver's seat and fufill her childhood dream of becoming a yoga teacher. She enrolled with The Yoga Studio College of Canada in Calgary and trained under the guidance and mentorship of her Director, whom trained directly with the founder of Iyengar yoga - B.K.S. Iyengar. Additionally, Monica also went on to further her training in Yin Yoga with YogaMaya which she is proud to say is one of her niches.

Monica's teaching style is rooted with compassion, light-heartenedness, vibrancy and humility. You will find her teaching Hatha and Yin interwoven with elements of Iyengar, Ashtanga and Yin principles.
In Monica's classes, all bodies and all ages are welcome! Her classes are great for yogis looking to relax, increase strength and to help those find their brightest light through yoga.

Outside of yoga, Monica loves crystals, jewellery, jewellery making, cats, obsessively taking foodie pictures, simple delicious plant based recipes, laughing and learning everything Aussie since moving to Melbourne from Canada.
