Katrina had never planned on becoming a yoga teacher but the universe had other ideas! As a critical care registered nurse on the verge of burn out, Katrina fell in love with the many healing benefits that yoga brought into her life mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
After completing her 200hr YTT in 2018 with Yoga213 for self development and self empowerment, Katrina fell in love with the yogi way of life and the constant journey of self exploration. Katrina completed a further 50hr Yin training with Hugh Lee and 30hr Meditation training with LA guru Steve Ross.
Katrina teaches vinyasa and yin for beginners and beyond with a strong emphasis on somatic awareness; using the sensations in the body to guide your practice safely. She believes that yoga is for everyone regardless of their background and that you don’t have to be ‘instagram perfect’ to participate and benefit.
Katrina’s teaching style is fun, encouraging and educational. Influenced by a ‘You Do You’ attitude, Katrina is a passionate advocate for self care, self love, mental health awareness and wellness. She loves empowering people and imbues her teaching with breath work, mindfulness, meditation and super chill music. She loves talking about feels, vibes and energies and enjoys incorporating aromatherapy into her practice.
If she’s not living her best yogi life on the mat, Katrina loves to travel, loves to brunch and loves to spend time adventuring with her man and her dog.
