We are so excited to bring you an unmissable yoga retreat in a mini paradise, which has been a winner of multiple World Luxury Spa awards. This retreat is a time for YOU, a time to escape, relax and unwind. August 3rd to August 9th, 2019.
Lose yourself in two blissful daily yoga practices in the rooftop yoga studio, nurture yourself with good food and take lots of time out for yourself. Swim in the clear pool, read that book you can never find time for, walk along the pristine beaches or indulge in an afternoon nap – simply follow your bliss.
The Yoga will be a mix of Vinyasa Flow in the morning to awaken your energy and a heart opening Yin Yoga in the evening to set you up for a restful night’s sleep.
Your day will begin with a relaxing sunrise meditation before practice and on 3/4 of the afternoons we will delve in the beautiful world of the philosophy, art and science of yoga to deepen our practice.
All of our classes will be progressive over the week so you will leave feeling refreshed and with a noticeable change in your personal practice.
Imagine your day..
8.00 am - 8.30am: Morning meditation as the Balinese sun rises.
8:30 am – 10:00 am: YOGA | A 90 minute practice to start the day.
10:00 am – 11:30 am: A delicious and healthy breakfast awaits.
11:30 am – 4:00 pm: FREE TIME | Laze by the pool, enjoy a spa treatment, swim in the ocean or enjoy one of your complimentary tours and events!
4:00 pm – 6:30 pm: YOGA | A blissful evening yin yoga class to prepare your body and mind for a restful nights sleep.
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Gather together for an exquisite, nutritious dinner, followed by tea, chats or an early night to bed.
Your home for the week is the stunning Floating Leaf Eco-Luxury Retreat, a mini private paradise set among rice paddies with a view of the nearby Indian Ocean and surrounding islands.

Your Teacher - Jessica Dewar
Jessica Dewar is an internationally accredited yoga teacher with over 3000 hours of teaching experience. She travels to Mysore, India regularly to continue her studies and deepen her personal practice. Jessica is the founder of Jessica Dewar Yoga, located in Melbourne, Australia - and is the first and only yoga studio that offers 100% of its classes by donation.
With a previous career in Rehabilitation, (Jessica’s background is in Psychology and Behavioural Science), Jessica is now dedicated to sharing her passion for yoga and well-being. Jessica has taught and presented at a number of yoga festivals in Australia and has been regularly featured in Yoga Australia Magazine, The Age, The Herald Sun and other popular publications.
Jessica's style is a dynamic vinyasa flow influenced by her love of Ashtanga yoga. Jessica shares playful, challenging and flowing sequences to open the body, enliven the soul and free the mind. Her classes explore postures and sequences that build strength and flexibility, encourage balance and will challenge both the body and the mind. Jessica pays particular attention to strengthening and healing spinal-related illnesses given her personal journey of chronic lower back pain and severe scoliosis.
Weaving together her love for the physical practice, philosophy, and meditation - Jessica's classes take students on a journey to increase awareness, strength, courage and acceptance.
A bespoke vegetarian menu will be served throughout the week using seasonal organic and permaculture produce. All meals throughout the week will be provided.
Meals at Floating Leaf consist of high quality, high prana ingredients and multiple options are available for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free meals.
A sanctuary of holistic wellness set amongst the tranquil rice fields and lush landscapes of Eastern Bali, The Melati Spa offers spiritual traditional Balinese treatments and organic, eco-friendly spa therapies designed to nurture health, beauty and rejuvenation.

Superior Pool-Room Views
Floating Leaf's most secluded rooms take tropical living to its highest distinction. The three upstairs rooms boast a wrap around balconies with views of the surrounding rice fields, Indian Ocean, Bali’s outer laying islands, the most sacred spot on the island, Mount Agung, and of course The Healing Pool. The ground floor rooms offer indoor/outdoor garden bathrooms with rain shower and 2 of which include a large soaking bathtub.
All of the deluxe eco-luxury Pool View Rooms are perfectly round (see why below) and each material is carefully selected and hand crafted to be eco-friendly, sustainable and of the highest quality. Delightful surprises and exquisite attention to detail will reveal themselves throughout your stay.
Step across the koi pond to four beautifully appointed rooms set in a lush organic garden. Blending traditional Balinese antiques with contemporary sustainable comforts; each spacious room has a private terrace, air conditioning, and fan.
The second floor rooms offer sweeping views of the surrounding rice fields, Indian Ocean and holy Mount Agung. The entire green rooftop is a flourishing fruit and vegetable garden and offers the best views Floating Leaf Eco-Luxury Retreat has to offer. Less secluded than the superior Pool View Rooms, the Garden Rooms offer an economical solution for those wanting to experience Floating Leaf.
Do I need to have done yoga before?
Absolutely not. Students of all fitness levels and walks of life are welcome to attend. For the beginner yogis, you will develop a solid foundation to begin your yoga journey. For the more seasoned yogis, this is the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice. Join our retreat with your partner, friends or travel solo.
How do I get there?
Fly into Denpasar and one of the friendly staff from Floating Leaf will be there to greet you. Please send us your travel details as soon as you have them and please don’t forget to update us if the airline changes your arrival or departure time.
How much yoga can I expect to do on this retreat?
As much or as little as you wish! We will offer 1 x meditation session and 2 x 90 minute yoga sessions each day. There will also be philosophy workshops on offer. You can also expect lots of personal attention and adjustments.
How far away are the beaches?
If you love the beach, then this is the perfect retreat for you. Just a 3 minute walk to some of Bali's most beautiful beaches.
Can you accommodate my special diet?
Absolutely! Please let us know your special dietary requirements so we can take care of this for you.
When is Check-In and Check-Out?
The retreat will start at 5pm on August 3, and check-out will be 12pm on August 09, 2019.
What travel documents do I need?
Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after your planned date of departure from Bali. Holders of regular Australian passports, arriving by air for the purposes of tourism, may enter Bali for up to 30 days without requesting a visa in advance. Please check the visa entry requirements for other passport holders.
What currency should I bring?
Australian dollars or USD can be exchanged for Indonesian Rupiah at banks and the airport. ATMs are an easy way to get Indonesian Rupiah.
